Itinerary
Aug 3, Depart Washington Dulles for Ireland
Aug 4 Arrive in Dublin and transfer to your hotel. Your tour manager will provide suggestions for you to begin to explore the city on your own. At 5pm, meet your group for orientation and dinner. Overnight Dublin
Aug 5 Take a panoramic tour of Dublin. After lunch on your own, head west to Galway, the cultural center of Ireland. Stop at Galway Cathedral then coninue to see the medieval city walls. Enjoy free time to stroll in this bohemian town. Group dinner. Overnight Galway
Aug 6 Today is a full day excursion into the Irish countryside. Travel west for a visit to the new-Gothic Kylemore Abbey in the heart of Connemara National Park. View the lakes, mountains, and the 40 shades of green for which Ireland is remowned. Overnight Galway
Aug 7 Drive south from Galway Bay through the rugged Burren to view the Cliffs of Moher, towering 700 feet above the Atlantic. Next, visit Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, offering insight into Irish life at the turn of the century. Drive through Adare to arrive at scenic Killarney. Tonight, experience the Gaelic Roots Live Show. Dinner included. Overnight Killarney
Aug 8 Today begins with a tour through Killarney National Park and the world famous Ring of Kerry. In the afternoon return to Killarney in time for your carriage ride through the Park. Overnight Killarney
Aug 9 This morning drive south to visit the 15th century Blarney Castle, where you will have the oppoartunity to kiss the famous Blarney Stone. Free time for shopping (and Irish Coffees!) before going to the Waterford Crystal showroom for a tour of their collection of glassware. Group dinner tonight. Overnight Waterford
Aug 10 Today head for Killkenny, located on the river Nore. View the 12th century Killkenny Castle. This afternnoon, head back to Dublin for dinner and an evening of traditionsl Irish entertainment. Overnight Dublin
