I love to venture into new destinations and see how different cultures have evolved given the natural resources available in their area. What type of houses do they live in? How do they express their spirituality? What do they do for fun? I love creating itineraries that highlight these areas so my clients return home with a greater appreciation of the diversity of our planet and her people. I especially like itineraries that include a good mixture of outdoor, cultural and historical activities so that a variety of perspectives can be gained.
One of my favorite itineraries was centered in San Juan, Puerto Rico. There we kayaked, snorkeled, went caving and hiked to a waterfall. We then toured Old San Juan at night and had a private cooking class. To round out the experience, we visited the forts in town and the Arecibo Observatory. I feel all of my guests now have a better understanding of the natural beauty, the culture of the people and the varying roles the island has played throughout history. Whether the itinerary be in Europe, Central America or here in the U.S., that is my goal.
